Thanks again. The food thing is definitely best: I don't have to claim pastrami and cheese on my unemployment forms.

Thanks for asking about me. I assumed my departure had been lost in the shadows of my more high-profile colleagues.

Since being laid off, I've been diligently applying for jobs (mostly P.R.-related), taking my son to and from preschool, hanging out on occasion with Wade and Alex, and blogging like a man with a lot of time on his hands at virtualjournalist.wordpress.com, which I started just six days after my last day at the Loaf (Jan. 2). For the most part, I use the blog to educate myself about current journalism practices, the newspaper industry and the future of online news. It also has links to my clips and Linked In profile.

To be honest, I never thought I'd still be looking for work in March. Which well and truly sucks. So if anyone out there in Tampa Bay has a need for a hard worker and first-class communicator, I"m your man.
