I should emphasize that they're the only place in St. Pete - as far as I gather - that has Thomas Hooker beer, so for certain beers, I'll pay a little extra just to have them. Does anyone know if they sell Russian River beers?

Just found this place via the Thomas Hooker beer locator. I intend to pick up some Thomas Hooker beer, but I've not yet been. I'm writing this to say: If they are over-priced - as I hear - there are a couple other option in St. Pete that have very respectable micro and import selections at fairly reasonable prices. Rollin' Oats has many of the micro brews I go for (nice assortment of Stone, Bell's, Sierra Nevada), and they have the heavy-hitter imports as well as some very nice import finds. They have 6-packs of Kostritzer black lager - for example - for $6.99. The other place is the Rally's that just opened on 4th and 22nd. They have a very nice variety, and they have a build your own 6-pack for $9.99. That sounds steep, but they have many beers that go for over $2 a bottle. To give you an idea of the types of beers you can get, the last 6-pack I purchased included: Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout, Bell's Oberon Ale, Anchor Liberty Ale, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, Bison Organic Chocolate Stout, Fuller's London Pride. All new beers for me - save for London Pride.

Their sandwiches hit the spot and seem to always be fresh. I've been going there for over twenty years . . . Not much has changed except more beer.

I have never had a sandwich for lunch. I've only had their breakfast sandwiches. Which rock. I think they're the best breakfast sandwiches in the city.
